Services and Fees

INITIAL  COMPREHENSIVE PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION:  During this visit, we will  review your full medical, psychiatric, psychosocial, and family history, which is important to obtain at this first visit because certain conditions such as hypo/hyperthyroidism, diabetes, and anemia (among many others), can present with psychiatric symptoms.

Please be advised that some cases may be more complicated than others especially with children and adolescents and may require additional sessions which will be discussed with you during your initial appointment.

Fee: $450

20-30 MINUTE MEDICATION MANAGEMENT FOLLOW-UP SESSION:  This is a follow-up session usually about once per month once stable, during which your symptoms and psychopharmacologic treatment plan will be discussed thoroughly, any appropriate changes to your medication regimen will be made.

Fee: $225

TELEPHONE CALLS (MORE THAN 5 MINUTES):  Prorated according to actual time

MISSED APPOINTMENTS:  $150                                     

INSURANCE: 

Ocean View Neuropsychiatry contracts with certain insurance providers ( for example but not limtied to Anthem, Aetna, Blue cross, Cigna, Healthnet, United, Optum, IEHP),  if we are not contracted with an insurance then we are considered  “out-of-network” providers.

If you plan to use your insurance benefits, it is in your best interest to check with your insurance provider prior to your first appointment in order to understand the full details of your mental health benefits. 

If you are using out of network benefits, we do provide a reimbursement form or what is commonly referred to as a SUPERBILL  that you may be able to use to submit a claim with your insurance. These plans vary widely and typically may reimburse patients anywhere from 30% to 80% of the total cost of each of our sessions depending on your deductibles. You may want to ask your insurance carrier to what extent they reimburse for the following psychiatric services rendered by an out-of-network doctor:

PAYMENT POLICY:  All services are paid for in full by the client at the beginning of each session via credit card,  cash, or check.
